The Gen Alpha Academy of Arts audition process is a structured, two-step evaluation designed to assess a dancer's technical foundation, maturity, and readiness for pre-professional training. Applicants submit an initial online profile and $35 evaluation fee, followed by either an in-studio live assessment or a standardized video submission. Faculty review all candidates to provide accurate phase and track placement.

If you choose the video pathway, submit clips showcasing your technique, artistry, and readiness. To ensure our faculty can accurately evaluate your potential, please follow these technical submission guidelines:
Framing & Angle
Ensure full-body visibility at all times. Shoot horizontally (landscape) from a stable, eye-level position. Avoid extreme high or low angles that distort alignment.
Lighting & Attire
Film in a well-lit space with the light source in front of you, not behind you. Wear form-fitting, solid-color dance attire to allow faculty to observe body mechanics clearly.
Audio & Environment
Film in a quiet environment. Ensure accompanying music is audible but does not overpower the sound of your movement (e.g., tap sounds or breath control).
Ballet Basics
Barre combination or center floor basics (1–2 min)
Jazz Movement
Jazz combo or across-the-floor phrase (1–2 min)
Hip-Hop or Commercial
Hip-Hop phrase, street jazz, or commercial movement (1–2 min)
Turns & Leaps
Sample of your turning, leaping, or flexibility abilities (1 min)
Self-Introduction
Brief introduction: name, age, why you audition (30–45 sec)
Video clips must be submitted as direct links (YouTube unlisted, Vimeo private). Password-protected videos must include the password in your submission notes.

Every dancer is placed into our phased curriculum (Spark, Engine, Apex) based on objective readiness metrics, not just age or tenure.
Progress requires consistency. We maintain strict attendance requirements to respect the faculty, the cohort, and the dancer’s own potential.
We believe in transparent, 24-48 hour response times. All placement and progression feedback is delivered constructively and professionally.
